Sad to announce that Ely Fiskin passed away yesterday. Over two years ago he was diagnosed with cancer with a life expectancy of maybe a year. He lasted more than two years. He died peacefully and pain free with his family at his side. in his home, as he wished. (His wife Barb died several years ago).
Ely raced many years with RMVR, originally racing a Cortina, but later a Merlyn FF. Ely was a founding member of the Vintage Motorsports Council (VMC) and served as its secretary for many, many years.
His daughter, Stephanie Kiley says there will be memorial service with details pending.

For those of you RMVR old timers who may have known Eli Fiskin, his daughter, Stephanie, has provided this update on his services. At a Brew Pub no less! Cool.

"I wanted to let you know that the website has been updated with the details for the celebration of life and a link for lodging. I understand that Feldman’s will also post the information on their site.
"One more request to pass on: If you know my dad, you know he loved cars. Many of you do too. It would be an apt celebration of Ely’s life to include a mini impromptu car show. To that end, I encourage you to drive to the celebration of life in cars that my dad (or those of us attending the celebration) would appreciate. Please pass on this request to anyone not included on this email.
