This is the latest rod-change transaxle Mini transmission that has been thoughtfully rebuilt by a long-time technician and enthusiast. 4 spider gear differential.

ALL new bearings and syncros. Case has been cleaned and stripped.

  • Solvent dipped, cleaned, inspected, cracked checked and bead-blasted latest rod change case with no cooling fin damage

  • Gears, hubs, shafts and linkages cleaned, inspected and shot blasted

  • Layshaft replaced

  • All bearings, including layshaft and main shaft needle bearings and main shaft input and output bearings replaced

  • Four “Mini Spares baulk rings, genuine part, made for reliability, because the current Rover 22G2033 version is not good enough”

  • Competition engine oil pickup installed

  • Stainless steel oil drain thread insert installed

  • Magnetic oil drain plug installed

  • “Original Evolution" molybdenum coated Cross-pins differential. Produced and sold by Mini Spares since 1994. It is a super heavy duty differential designed as a significant upgrade for reliability and strength.”

  • “Latest Genuine RHP manufacture differential carrier bearings, as originally fitted to every production Mini, installed” and properly shimmed for preload.

  • All external case bolts replaced with new Zinc plated hardware.

  • Mini Spares Gearbox Leak Fix Kit Installed
